Azia (Billy) Mills was born on December 22nd, 1972, in Paterson, New Jersey to parents, Patricia Ann Mills and Freddie Laws. Billy was raised by his maternal grandmother, Queen Esther Mills. As a young man he went to live with his father and graduated from Kingstree Senior High School of Kingstree, South Carolina. After walking into adulthood, Billy followed his dreams and worked at SECC (Southeast Comprehensive Center) as a Forklift Driver. Billy's loved ones describe him as a loving giant who helped people and never turned his back on anyone. He always liked to look and smell good, some would even say he was his own, Number One Fan! Billy will be remembered every time we hear his favorite songs, Tennessee Whiskey or I Need Love. And when we see Swamp People or Big Foot on TV, we'll know that's Billy communicating with us.
Billy is survived by his spouse, Elanora Brunson and daughters: Veronica Adams, Erica Adams, Ashley Adams, Alexis Adams. Aunts: Joy (Laseur) Jackson of Florence, South Carolina, Doretha (Tony) McClain of Atlanta, Georgia, Ettaphine (Frederick) McKinney of Savannah, Georgia, Lucille Laws, Annie Mary Smith & Vernetta Weekes all of Sumter, South Carolina.
