Obituary
Mr. Joe E. Singletary transitioned into eternal life Monday morning on August 26, 2023 at his home in Kingstree, South Carolina. Joe was born on March 20, 1943, to the late Joby Hannah and Grace Singletary in Williamsburg County.
Joe received his education at Carver High School in Lake City, South Carolina and later moved to Bridgeport Connecticut. Joe joined Miracle Faith Outreach Church where he served on the praise and worship team and enjoyed singing. Joe retired from Metro North Railroad after 45 years of faithful working. He enjoyed driving and meeting people during their travels.
Joe was a member of the Masonic Supreme Council of the Thirty Third Degree of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother Grace Singletary and his father Joby Hannah. Three Brothers:
Lavern Singletary, Clarance Hannah, Willie Hannah, One sister Nellie Singletary.
Left to cherish his memories are: his wife Lilian Paulette Singletary of the home; his children, Sonja Singletary (Amos William) of Bridgeport, CT., Joe E. Singletary Jr, (Irene) of Dallas, Texas, Joan (Monroe) Jackson of Lawrenceville, GA. One Brother Hayward Singletary of Bridgeport, Connecticut. Seven sisters, four grands, and three great-grands
