JOSEPH “PEEWEE”MYERS
A Time to Be Born
Mr. Joseph “Peewee” Myers was born on October
1, 1967, in Florence County to the late David and
Martha Myers in Florence, SC. He was the youngest
of nine children born to this union.
A Time to Die
Joseph departed from this earthly life on March 13,
2024, at his residence in Lake City, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister,
Jerline Dicks; and two brothers: Ricky Tisdale and
Wayne Myers.
A Time to Learn and Work
Joseph attended the public schools of Florence
County and was a proud graduate from the Lake
City High School Class of 1985 and Allen University.
His formal work History included T S Ragsdale,
Sutton Plumbing, and Turbeville Electric Company.
A Time to Be Remember
Those left to cherish his fond memories are: two
sisters: Beatrice Cooper of Lake City, SC, and
Jacqueline Myers of Myrtle Beach, SC; three
brothers: Steve Myers of Myrtle Beach, SC, David
Myers Jr. and Michael Myers of Lake City, SC; eight
aunts: Mae Floyd, Betty Burgess, Nancy Brown, Iva
Poinsette, Rosa Lee Poinsette, Anna (Roosevelt)
Peterson of Kingstree, SC, Reva Bradley and Greda
Poinsette of Yorkers, NY; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins, and friends that he loved dearly.
