Life Reflection
Ruby McFadden Holmes was born on January 18, 1940 to the late Richard McFadden and Amanda Knight McFadden. She departed this life on October 12, 2023. Ruby received her education at Olanta Training and Carver High School in Lake City. After leaving school Ruby moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she met and married Johnny Holmes. She later relocated to Paterson, New Jersey. Ruby worked at Bergen Pines Hospital in New Jersey and Rockland State in New York as a Mental Therapy Aide. She retired in 1995 and later moved back to South Carolina.

Ruby was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty McFadden, two grandchildren: Tony Amanda McFadden and Terrance Lorenza McFadden, four brothers: Willie Knight, Carlye Knight, Eugene McFadden, and John McFadden.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: three brothers: William Johnnie Mae) McFadden of Paterson, New Jersey; Richard McFadden Jr: of Hollywood, Florida; Larrie McFadden of Olanta, South Carolina; three sisters: Emma (Greg) Craighead of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Loisann McDowell (Randy Shiloh) and Rosa McFadden Garland of Olanta, South Carolina; five great grand-daughters: Ariel Mcfadden, Abria Boykin, Amber McFadden, Ashley McFadden and LaKendra Hughes; one great grandson, Tristan McFadden; five great-great grandchildren: Logan McFadden, Stacey "S.J." Bennell, Zhian Hughes, Jha'mere Robinson and ZNyiah Hughes; Aunts: Pastor Minnie P. Johnson and Effie Dell Burgess. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
