Life Reflection
Tammi Gurley Patterson was born December 15, 1971 to the late Linton Gurley and Rosa McFadden Garland. Tammi was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She departed this life Wednesday July 26, 2023.
Tammi graduated from Lake City High School. Where she then furthered her education onto Social Work and attended Passaic County Community College. Tammi was a social worker and activist in the community of Paterson, fostering children and helping anyone in need. Then Tammi decided to further her education into Nursing. Where she attended Williamsburg Technical College. As a devoted nurse Tammi traveled throughout the states nurturing and caring for those in need.
Tammi was preceded in death by three siblings:
John Gurley, Lenora Gurley, and Samantha Gurley.
Now she leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Jonathan Patterson of the home Dallas, NC; two loving daughters: Shan Yae Gurley and Aniera Hill of Dallas, NC; mother Rose McFadden Garland of Olanta, SC; six devoted siblings: Tamara Dendy (Daniel) of Fountain Inn, SC, Teresa Gurley Yancey, Dewanna Davis, Angela Gurley Byrd, Darryl Gurley, Derrick Gurley all of Fort Lauderdale, FL; Special Aunts: Ruby Holmes of Olanta, SC, Emma Craighead (Greg), and Lois Anne McDowell (Randy) of Olanta, SC; three uncles:
William McFadden Johnnie Mae) of Paterson, NJ, Richard McFadden of Hollywood, FL, and Larry McFadden of Olanta, SC; two beautiful grandchildren, Liam Gurley and Mila Gurley of Dallas, NC; special friend, Vera Gusack-Taylor (Owen); and host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and in-laws.
