Virginia had a smile that would light up any room. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. She is now resting in the hands of God and reunited with her parents Isiah and Blanche Washington.

Virginia Carolyna Washington Sands, 52 passed away on September 3.2023 in Augusta,Georgia.

She was born on December 12,1971 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Isiah and Blanche Washington. She attended the public schools of Florence School District 3.

Virginia lived in Lake City for years before relocating to Augusta, Georgia. Virginia loved to dance and never met a stranger. Virginia traveled to many places, but her heart was always in Lake City with the love of her life, her daughter Carolyn Washington.

Virginia Washington Sands was married to Tommy Sands of Florence, South Carolina. Virginia was blessed to have one daughter whom she cherished and adored, Ms. Carolyn Washington of Lake City, South Carolina. One granddaughter Angel McGill of New Zion, South Carolina. A stepson Brandon Brown of Lake City, SC. One brother Tommy Washington of Pompano, FL. Sisters  Pamular Boston Williams (Darius), Tornella Boston (Carl) Watkins, Rosslon Boston, Mary (Willie) Pressley and Debbie (Steve) Cunningham all of Lake City SC. One aunt Mrs. Dorothy Washington of Pompano FL. Special friend of many years Mazie Mcfadden. Virginia is loved by her many friends, cousins, biological and non-biological nieces, and nephews.
